Built in Voice Recognition and Voice Commands for all sources
You can control the receiver through simple voice commands. This allows you to keep your eyes on the road, and it creates a more pleasurable driving experience. You can say play artist Linkin Park, and it will play that artist. In bluetooth mode you can say "Call Michael Smith" and it will call your friend Michael. All sources have voice commands.
HDD Navigation is always on
The biggest complaint of the older Avic-D3 was that you had to load in navigation discs. This all new model has navigation maps built in with 12 million points of intetests! You can access the navigation with the click of a button! This HDD navigation is hard drive based and will load way quicker than the older disc based navigation!
Text to Speech Navigation
Text to speech means the navigation will be easy to understand because instead of saying make your next right, it is intelligent and will tell you make right on main st. It will announce street names!
You can add points of interest!
This navigation has an impressive 12 million points of interest. However, if a point of interest that you frequently use is not in the database, you can simply add it in! This is the first time we have seen this feature in an in-dash car navigation!
SD Card Reader
The SD Card reader will allow you to store your favorite MP3 tracks and video files onto an SD Card and play it through this receiver!
USB Input and aux input
You can connect your favorite MP3 player or other audio device through the USB input or the 3.5 MM aux input. This receiver has an amazing amount of expandibility options!
Ipod Controls Built in with no accessories required!
The older model required you to purchase lots of additional accessories to access your favorite features. This model does not require any additional Ipod Interface! Simply connect your ipod to the USB Input and you can fully control and charge your ipod through the receiver.
