2 Sets of pre-amps:

This allows you to control the frequency level of the external amps so you can power either full range speakers or subs (or both).
Built in high powered amp
The receiver is rated at 52 x 4 watts, which is twice as loud as the off brand names who write 50 or 60 x 4. That is because this receiver is rated with true world RMS power (17 x 4 CEA-2006 RMS Rated) while other brands have receivers that are bogus peak ratings, and do not state the true RMS. 60x4 watts peak is meaningless. Always look for the RMS power rating. This receiver also has a built in equalizer which will allow you to take full advantage of your speakers by setting the frequencies you want to hear. There are 7 selectable EQ curves and a custom EQ which you can set on your own.
Aux input:
